Zachary Meyers is a producer and piano instructor based in Portland, Oregon. His fascination with music theory began at a young age, with days spent tinkering at the piano bench. Days quickly turned into years of exploration, songwriting, and a BA in Music Composition.

Despite this achievement, he believes learning music is an ongoing pursuit. These days he can be found challenging himself to learn and apply advanced jazz theory at the piano, or honing his proficiency in music production. He is at his happiest when learning new concepts, and creating sonic playgrounds for himself and collaborators to write music in.

Zachary thrives when sharing his love of music theory and production with his students. His expertise lies in distilling complex concepts into simpler terms for learners of all levels. Music education can be introduced in such a wide variety of ways, and Jessica’s Sit + Play curriculum is a needed fresh and informative take. Zachary is excited to support the vision of Sit + Play with his skill during workshops, and into the future!
